Men's soccer finished with a 2-4-1 record to clinch the #4 seed in the American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament, marking the first appearance in program history.
Season Recap:
Sul Ross began their season with a 1-0 win at Howard Payne on February 26 before a 0-0 draw at home on March 1 against Mary Hardin-Baylor.
The early momentum took a pause as the Lobos dropped their next two matches. Concordia was able to edge Sul Ross 2-1 on March 5 in Alpine. Hardin-Simmons later took the March 8 matchup by a score of 2-1 at Lobo Field.
Sul Ross was able to grab one of the final three outings to help ensure a conference tourney berth. The win came on March 14 at McMurry, 4-1. On March 20, the Lobos would fall 2-1 again at the hands of Hardin-Simmons. Sul Ross finished their regular season on senior night, losing 2-1 to McMurry.
The Players:
Nana Prempeh led the Lobos with three goals in his sophomore campaign and also had a team-high 15 shots.
Arturo Madrid finished with two goals and an assist on 14 shots with a team-high nine on goal.
Sul Ross enters as a #4 seed in the West Division and will face the East Division #1 seed UT Dallas (4-0-1, 4-0-1 ASC) on April 1 at 8:00 p.m. in Richardson.
The most recent meeting was a 0-0 draw in 2019. UT Dallas leads the all-time series 1-0-1, with the lone win coming at home.

ADMISSION:
Due to school policy, capacity is limited to 25%. There will always be 100 fans allowed at the soccer field at one time.
While there will be admission for the game, attendance is being limited to just 50 spectators per team on Thursday and all spectators in attendance MUST be on the team's pass list. In addition, face coverings are required.
At the conclusion of the women's game, the stands will be cleared before allowing spectators for the men's game to enter the field.
