Men’s Soccer Earns ASR Accolades

ALPINE, Texas – The Sul Ross State University men's soccer team achieved a perfect 100 ASR (Academic Success Rate) score.  The score is for the latest six-year period.
 
ASR refers to the rate at which students complete their academic programs, which is often measured by graduation rates or a combination of retention and completion rates.

"To reach such a level of academic success while simultaneously improving their competitiveness on the field is an amazing achievement. Coach Guffin and his staff set high standards in all areas for their student-athletes and these results are evidence of the student-athletes ability to excel in all areas. I am incredibly proud of this program and the direction they are heading."

The Lobos were one of 22 sport programs in the Lone Star Conference (LSC) to earn a perfect score.  SRSU was the only men's soccer team in the LSC recognized.

"Proud of all of our guys for the academic standard they have brought to our team. Part of the rebuilding process of this program was to make sure we had top players but also complete student-athletes as well. We're excited to be representing Sul Ross at this level."
