Aviles Earnes All-Region Honors

ALPINE, Texas – Sophomore Benjamin Aviles was named to the D2CCA All-South Central Region first team.  He is the first player in program history to earn all-region honors.

Aviles had a record breaking year going 2-4-7 with 60 saves, six shutouts and a 1.08 G.A.A. in 1170 minutes.  He currently leads the LSC in saves per game (4.62), and is second in total saves, and fourth in G.A.A. and shutouts.

Aviles was named Goalkeeper of the Week for Oct. 6.  He set the single-season school records for G.A.A. and shutouts and set a school record going 350.32 without giving up a goal.

In addition, Aviles was All-LSC first team, LSC Goalkeeper of the Year and selected to the LSC All-Academic team.
