Achique Earns Lone Star Conference Honors

ALPINE, Texas – Junior Miguel Achique has been named the Lone Star Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for Week 4. 

It is the first time Achique has earned the honor.  This is the second time this season a Lobo has earned a POW.

Achique played a pivotal role as Sul Ross State beat Lubbock Christian 1-0 (Sept. 25).  He scored the game-winning goal with just under 30 minutes to go.  His play helped the Lobos extend their unbeaten streak to five games, during which the team has allowed just two goals with four shutouts.
