LAST WEEK
Sul Ross State opened the week setting a total of four school records in an 8-0 win over Adams State (Sept. 12).  The Lobos set records for assists (5), goals and points (21) in a game.  Sophomore Diego Hernandez tallied three assists to become the first player in program history to record a hat trick.

The Lobos followed that with a 3-0 win over Adams State (Sept. 14).  Senior Isaac Poole became the first player in program history to have back-to-back shutout wins.

LONE STAR CONFERENCE RANKINGS
Two Lobos ranked among the leaders:  Sophomore Benjamin Aviles – saves per game (7.50) and total saves (15) and Poole in G.A.A. (0.00).  Hernandez is second in assists per game (1.00).  As a team, the Lobos are second in goals per game (3.00) and points per game (7.75) and are third in assists per game (1.75).

MR. ASSIST
Hernandez has recorded four assists for the season.  That breaks the single-season mark of three set in 2018 by Christopher Diaz and Lorenzo Segura.

LSC GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
Poole became the first Lobo to earn a Lone Star Conference POW honor this season.  He is just the second player in program history to win.

Sul Ross State Head Coach Bailey Guffin
"We're coming off a strong week.  Picked up six points, had two clean slates and played a lot of guys who all contributed.  We are expecting two tough challenges from Texas A&M International and UT Dallas this week."
