The Sul Ross State baseball team is hosting the annual purple and pink series Friday, Oct. 11  to Saturday, Oct. 12 at Kokernot Field to support the month of domestic violence awareness and breast cancer awareness.

Friday's game begins at 3:30 p.m. CST while Saturday's doubleheader starts at 9:45 a.m. CST.

Lobo baseball has donated some items for a drawing. Tickets for the drawing will be six for $5 or $1 each.

The drawings will be at the end of the second inning of each game. Anyone who chooses to enter the drawing must be present to win.

A jersey will be raffled on Friday while a cap is up for grabs during the first game on Saturday.

All proceeds help benefit the Family Crisis Center of the Big Bend.

The domestic violence awareness sponsors also include the SRSU Honors Club, the SRSU Psychology Club and SRSU's Counseling and Accessibility Services.
