Lobos Close Out 2026 Season Strong Against Eagles

Edmond, Ok. — Sul Ross State University Baseball (7-43, LSC 7-43) closed out the 2026 season on the road with a doubleheader victory today over Oklahoma Christian University (17-33, LSC 17-33) Saturday afternoon at Dobson Baseball Field. The Lobos took game one 13-8 and followed with a 10-4 win in game two to secure both games of the doubleheader.

In game one, the Lobos produced 13 runs on eight hits, highlighted by Jared Salinas who launched a three-run home run and finished with three RBIs. Max Wiggins added a key double with three RBIs, while Joseph Binder also homered as Sul Ross used a big third and fifth inning to take control of the game. On the mound, Gage Cobb earned the win, tossing four innings, while Brayan Navarrete picked up the save to secure the victory.

In game two, Sul Ross carried the momentum offensively, tallying 10 runs on nine hits. Joseph Binder led the way with two home runs and four RBIs, while Alfonso Lopez contributed a strong performance with two hits and four RBIs. Jayden Hernandez added two hits and an RBI as the Lobos built an early lead and never looked back. On the mound, Isaac Lopez delivered a complete game effort, going all nine innings with seven strikeouts to earn the win and close out the season.
