Lobos Turn It Up A Notch

ALPINE, Texas – It was another step forward for the Sul Ross State University baseball team in 2026. The Lobos had two All-Lone Star Conference selections, 10 LSC rankings and 29 additions to the record book with six school records.

Once again, the schedule was top notch as UT Tyler qualified for the NCAA Division II College World Series. In addition, Angelo State, Lubbock Christian and St. Mary's (Texas) all qualified for regionals.

SRSU had a big win, 24-22 over Lubbock Christian (Feb. 7). LCU was receiving votes in the national polls and ended up making regionals. The Lobos went 2-2 against Eastern New Mexico, UT Dallas and Oklahoma Christian, the first Lone Star splits in program history.

Sul Ross State had its first All-LSC selections as Leo Salas made first team and Max Wiggins was third team.
