Aguayo And Mojica Earn All-Lone Star Honors

ALPINE, Texas – Senior Victoria Aguayo and junior Leslie Mojica were selected to the All-Lone Star Conference Women's Basketball team.

Mojica was named honorable mention. She started 22 of 24 games played, averaging 11.25 points, three assists and 2.54 steals a game while shooting 75.4% from the free throw line. 

Mojica recorded14 double-figure scoring games and had a steal in all but three games.  Currently in the Lone Star, she is second in steals and eighth in assists.  Mojica ranks among the top 10 in school single-season for free throws made (101), free throws attempted (134) and steals (61)

Aguayo, who earned honorable mention last year, was selected to the all-defensive team. The only player to play and start all 26 games, she averaged 10.38 points, 7.89 rebounds, 2.39 assists and 3.96 steals a game while shooting 83.3% from the line.

Aguayo recorded 14 double-figure scoring games and had at least one steal in 25 games with 23 at two +.  Currently in the Lone Star, she leads in minutes played (36.5) and steals and is fourth in rebounds.  Aguayo set the single-season school record for steals (103) and ranks among the top 10 career in nine categories including leading in games played (102) and steals (269), second in rebounds (672) and fourth in scoring (944).
