Lobos Face Unique Situation

ALPINE, Texas – It's an interesting situation as the Sul Ross State University men's basketball team (2-12 Lone Star Conference, 4-15) plays two games at home. The Lobos face the same team with one game conference and one not.

SCHEDULE:
Thursday, February 12 – Western New Mexico (RV) (11-4 LSC, 17-5) – 7:30 p.m.
WNMU leads the series 4-0. The Mustangs have four players in double-figures led by Cortaviaus Seales (15.33 points, 2.95 assists, .490 FG, .798 FT).

Friday, February 13 – Western New Mexico (Non-Conference) – 2:00 p.m.

LAST WEEK
Sul Ross State lost 81-63 to UT Permian Basin, Feb. 5.

For Sul Ross State, Camren Roper had 19 points, five assists, 10 rebounds (all defensive) and three steals, Julien Barclay had 14 points and three steals and Tim Mikhailov scored 12 points.

Three players scored in double figures as Sul Ross State lost 69-51 to Angelo State, Feb. 7.

For Sul Ross State, Mikhailov had 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting, Christian Nevarez scored 12 with two 3-pointers and Antwonne Holmes scored 10 points.

Camren Roper is chasing down the single-season steal record. He is fifth with 57 steals and needs 15 to break the record of 71 set by Larry Morales (2003-04).

Individually, Roper is second in steals (3.00), seventh in assists (3.84) and eighth in rebounding (6.84). Holmes is 10th in steals (1.72).
