Lobos Open 2026 at Home in Alpine

Alpine, Texas — Sul Ross State University Women's Basketball returns home from the holiday break to open the new year with a pair of Lone Star Conference matchups at the Pete P. Gallego Center. The homestand provides an opportunity for the Lobos to reset after the break, continue building consistency, and compete in front of their home crowd as conference play moves into a pivotal stretch.

The Lobos open the weekend on Friday, January 2, hosting Eastern New Mexico University with tipoff set for 5:30 PM, before welcoming West Texas A&M University on Sunday, January 4, at 1:00 PM. The two-game conference homestand marks an important return to Alpine as Sul Ross looks to build momentum coming out of the holiday break, emphasize defensive intensity and execution, and take advantage of home-court energy during a key stretch of Lone Star Conference play.
