Lobos Hit the Road to Open Lone Star Conference Play

Alpine, Texas - Sul Ross State University Women's Basketball begins its Lone Star Conference slate this week with a pair of road matchups in Central Texas, marking an important early test as the Lobos look to build momentum heading into December.

Sul Ross opens conference play on Thursday, December 4, with a 5:30 PM showdown against St. Edward's University in Austin before heading to San Antonio for a Saturday, December 6 matchup at 1:00 PM against St. Mary's University. The two-game stretch presents valuable back-to-back challenges, giving the Lobos opportunities to establish early conference rhythm, sharpen execution, and continue building confidence as they rely on a mix of experienced leaders and emerging contributors.

"In spite of all of the challenges our team went through, we are very excited about opening our Lone Star conference games this week against St. Edward's and St. Mary's. I believe our conference is getting tougher in terms of competition, but our goal is to compete in each game to the best of our abilities. Our players are capable of getting it done, but they have to believe in themselves and their teammates first. When we work hard and continue to compete, anything is possible." – Sul Ross State Women's Basketball Head Coach E.J.
