The Pete P. Gallego Center plays host to the semifinals and finals of the 2021 American Southwest Conference Women's Basketball Tournament on March 14 and 15.

With a 75-65 win over #2 Howard Payne, the Sul Ross Lobos won their first tournament game in program history. They earned the right to host the final rounds with the win and a 79-75 overtime victory for Mary Hardin-Baylor over Hardin-Simmons.

The final four teams include Sul Ross, East Texas Baptist, Mary Hardin-Baylor, and UT Dallas.


SEMIFINALS: Sunday, March 14

UT Dallas (14-3) vs. Mary Hardin-Baylor (12-8)
Following COVID-19 health and safety protocols, the Sunday ASC Women's Basketball Championship Tournament semifinal game between the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and the University of Texas at Dallas has been cancelled. UMHB will advance to the Monday (March 15) final round to play the winner of the Sul Ross State vs. East Texas Baptist semifinal contest.

The Lobos and Tigers played back on January 21 in a 68-57 win for the Tigers at the Gallego Center.

Vania Hampton led all scorers with 19 points and finished with a team-high nine rebounds.

Ashley Nunez was also in double digits with 10 points and boarded five.

The teams saw each other earlier in the season on December 1 with the Tigers coming away with an 83-59 win.
