Flores And Rodriguez Join The Lobos

ALPINE, Texas – Violetta Flores (Fabens, Texas) and Emily Rodriguez (El Paso, Texas) are set to play for the 2026 Sul Ross State University volleyball team.

Flores has a solid freshman year at Eastern New Mexico.  She averaged 4.88 assists over 93 sets with 25 service aces.  Flores had seven matches of 20+ assists with a career-high of 31 against Fort Lewis (Sept. 12).

Flores had a strong career at Fabens High School.  As a senior, she was 4A Region District 2 MVP and Co-Setter of the Year, made two all-tournament teams and was El Paso All-City honorable mention.  Flores was the District MVP as a junior and was a member of The National Honor Society.

Rodriguez had a solid career at Burges High School.  She was a two-time El Paso Times All-City selection, two-time All-5A Region District 1 first team selection and the district outstanding hitter as a senior.  Rodriguez helped the Mustangs win two Bi-District championships.
