Lobos Wrap Up Season With Rattlers

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Sul Ross State University volleyball team (1-16 LSC, 3-21) lost 3-0 (25-10, 25-18, 25-15) to St. Mary's (Texas) (12-5 LSC, 15-12), Saturday afternoon at Bill Greehey Arena. 

In the first set, St. Mary's got off to a 9-1 lead and never looked back.

In the second set, sophomore Anna Kasper found the back corner to cut the lead to 9-6.  The Rattlers went on a 7-2 run to take control.

In the third set, senior Cassandra Espinoza recorded a kill to tie it at 5-5.  SMU scored six straight to effectively end the match.

For Sul Ross State, Espinoza had nine kills and eight digs while senior Daisy Barraza had 10 digs.

For St. Mary's, Laurene Robinson and Landri Withers had 12 kills each.

Sul Ross State has concluded the 2025 season.
