Lobos Host Rattlers, Hilltoppers to Close Home Stand

Alpine, Texas — Sul Ross State University Women's Basketball closes out its 2026 home schedule this week with a pair of Lone Star Conference matchups at the Pete P. Gallego Center, hosting St. Mary's University (TX) on Thursday, Feb. 19 at 5:30 p.m., followed by St. Edward's University on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 1:00 p.m. for Senior Day. Following the last week of home action, the Lobos close the regular season on the road with conference matchups at UT Dallas (Feb. 24), Midwestern State (Feb. 26), and Lubbock Christian (Feb. 28).

The Lobos previously faced both opponents earlier this season, falling to St. Mary's (TX) by a score of 64–50 on Dec. 6, before dropping a matchup against St. Edward's, 80–63 on Dec. 4. Senior guard Victoria Aguayo continues to anchor the Sul Ross defense, becoming the career leader in steals in program history with 253 career steals. Aguayo also leads the Lone Star Conference in steals this season, totaling 87 steals through 21 games, averaging 4.1 per game.
