Lobos Close Out Home Season

ALPINE, Texas – The Sul Ross State University men's basketball team (2-13 Lone Star Conference, 4-17) closes out the home season with two games at home.

SCHEDULE:

Thursday, February 19 – St. Mary's (Texas) (10-6 LSC, 17-7) – 7:30 p.m.
SMU leads the series 6-0. The Rattlers are led by Justin Britt (10.46 points, .473 FG, .82 FT) and Damani Claxton (14.38 points, 3.21 assists, .857 FT).

Saturday, February 21 – #14 St. Edward's (12-5 LSC, 23-5) – 3:00 p.m.
SEU leads the series 2-0. The Hilltoppers are led by Blake Nielsen (18.72 points, 4.24 assists, 5.96 rebounds).

LAST WEEK
Sul Ross State lost 70-53 to Western New Mexico, Feb. 12 at the Pete P. Gallego Center.

Antwonne Holmes had 13 points and four steals, Julien Barclay scored 12 points and Tim Mikhailov had 11 points with three triples.

Holmes had a double-double as Sul Ross State lost 68-57 to Western New Mexico, Feb. 13 at the Pete P. Gallego Center.

Holmes had 25 points, 10 rebounds (all defensive) and shot 11-of-12 from the line.

CHASING THE STEALS
Camren Roper is chasing down the single-season steal record. He is fifth with 59 steals and needs 13 to break the record of 71 set by Larry Morales (2003-04).

LSC RANKINGS
Individually, Roper is second in steals (2.81), eighth in rebounding (6.76) and ninth in assists (3.62. Holmes is eighth in steals (1.85).
