Lobos Host Mustangs Gallego Center

Alpine, Texas — Sul Ross State University Women's Basketball returns home Thursday evening to host Western New Mexico University in a Lone Star Conference matchup. Tipoff is set for 5:30 PM on Thursday, Feb. 12, at the Pete P. Gallego Center.

The Lobos and Mustangs met earlier this season on Jan. 20 in Silver City, New Mexico, where Sul Ross earned a 69–60 victory in the Lone Star Conference matchup. Victoria Aguayo is tied for the most career steals in Sul Ross women's basketball history with 248, matching the program record held by April Ramirez (2001–04), and leads the Lone Star Conference with 82 total steals through 20 games, averaging 4.1 steals per game. Aguayo also sits third in the Lone Star Conference in rebounds, totaling 168 rebounds through 20 games (8.4 per game), including 60 offensive rebounds (3.0 per game) and 108 defensive rebounds (5.4 per game).
