Women's Basketball 12/15/2025 9:26:00 AM Lobos Back in Alpine for Three-Game Home Stretch Alpine, Texas — Sul Ross State University Women's Basketball returns to Pete P. Gallego Center this week following a week of rest, welcoming a three-game homestand that provides the Lobos an opportunity to reset and build momentum. Sul Ross opens the stretch on Tuesday, December 16, hosting McMurry University in a non-conference matchup with a 5:00 PM tipoff, before turning to Lone Star Conference action on Thursday, December 18, against the University of Texas at Dallas at 5:30 PM. The homestand concludes Saturday, December 20, when the Lobos welcome Central Oklahoma for a 1:00 PM non-conference tipoff, giving Sul Ross three home opportunities to continue growing, gaining confidence, and building consistency as the season moves forward. "Tough games are coming up for our Lady Lobos, but our players will meet the challenges head on and fight no matter what—just like they have been doing in recent games. Our goal is to finish strong before the holiday break. McMurry has several veterans, so they're a well-seasoned team. Their team is always trying to find ways to score, so our players really need to defend them. Up ahead in our other games, UTD has some athletes who can shoot from beyond the arc, and Central Oklahoma is a fundamentally sound team. We have to shoot the ball well to defeat them and we must hit the boards hard as a team. It will be a great opportunity for us improve our record. Please come to support our Lady Lobos!" – Sul Ross Women's Head Basketball Coach EJ Print Friendly Version
