Lobos Charge Into Mountaineer Territory

Alpine, Texas - Sul Ross State University Women's Basketball is off to a strong 1–0 start to the season. The Lobos now hit the road for their first away test, taking on Schreiner University on Friday, November 21 at 5:00 PM in Kerrville, Texas.

The Lobos look to carry their early momentum into Friday's matchup, building off an energetic opening performance that highlighted tough defense, balanced scoring, and strong leadership from their two seniors, Victoria Aguayo and Ariana Escalante. With confidence growing and chemistry clicking early, Sul Ross aims to keep the winning streak rolling on the road.

"It will be a tough game at Schreiner. They have a little more height against our post players, and they can shoot the ball well from the 3-point line. Schreiner's guards and shooters like to attack the rim too. They also have been on the road for the last 2 weeks, so our SR game is their 1st home game. I am certain they will be motivated to play the Lady Lobos and try to win on their court. We need to come out and compete from the jump. I know we will be ready for the challenge." – Head Women's Basketball Coach E.J.
