Lobos Fall To Falcons

ALPINE, Texas – Senior Cam Clardy scored over 20 points as the Sul Ross State University men's basketball team (0-6 Lone Star Conference, 1-10) lost 78-51 to The University of Texas Permian Basin (5-1 LSC, 9-3), Friday night at the Gallego Center.

For the first five minutes, Sul Ross State and Texas Permian Basin were trading buckets.  At the 14:49 mark, senior Tyler Jackson hit a tough shot to tie the game at 9-9.  The Falcons reeled off 10 straight points to effectively end the game.

For Sul Ross State, Clardy scored 24 points and was 8-of-15 from the floor, 4-of-7 from behind the arc and 4-of-4 from the line.  SRSU held the Falcons to just 11.1% on 3-pointers.

For UT Permian Basin, Dario Domingos scored 23 points with three steals.

Sul Ross State remains home, Sunday, Jan. 5 taking on Angelo State.  The game is scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m.
