After playing five matches on the road, the Sul Ross State women's soccer team is finally playing a true home game in Alpine, Texas.
On Saturday, Sept. 28, the Lobos host Eastern New Mexico at 12 p.m. CST for their suicide prevention awareness game.

Eastern New Mexico fell to West Texas A&M in its conference opener, 2-0, to go to 1-3-1 on the year.
The Greyhounds faced four Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference teams to start the season, with their lone win coming over Colorado Christian, 1-0.
Eastern New Mexico also had a 1-1 draw with Adams State. The Greyhounds have scored just two goals this season.
Junior midfielder Gaia Chies and junior forward Mariana Gonzalez Jimenez have scored the lone goals.
Freshman goalkeeper Rosie Willmott Joyce is fifth in the LSC with 27 saves.
This will be the first meeting between both programs.

- Mia Serrano is sixth in the LSC with nine shots on goal while she is eighth in goals scored with three.
- Karina Gallegos and Sarayi Serrano are tied for second on the team in goals scored with two each.
- Celeste De La Rosa is 10th in the conference with 19 saves.
- Sienna Ramirez and Luz Ruiz lead the team in assists with one each.
- The Lobos are 2-6 in home openers, not counting the shortened COVID spring season.
- SRSU's last victory during a home opener came on Sept. 8, 2017, when it beat Wayland Baptist, 3-1.
