Alpine, Texas – Sul Ross State University Women's Soccer (2-14, 1-11 LSC) fell 11-0 to #1 Dallas Baptist University (15-0, 11-0 LSC) Wednesday at Lobo Soccer Field.
The Lobos continued to show growth and togetherness as a team, battling through a challenging schedule and playing with pride in their final home match of the season. Competing in their final year of the provisionary period toward full Lone Star Conference membership, Sul Ross has continued to build experience and identity, laying a strong foundation for the program's future.
"We played well in the first half and showed some really good moments of composure and confidence against the #1 team in the nation. In the second half, we got a bit too comfortable and lost some of that rhythm, and a team like DBU will take advantage of that. Still, I'm proud of our group for continuing ro compete." - Head Women's Soccer Coach John Dominguez
Sul Ross is on the road against UT Dallas on Saturday, Nov. 1, at 2:00 PM in Richardson, Texas, at the UTD Soccer Complex, and will close out the season at St. Edward's in Austin, Texas, at Lewis-Chen Family Field on Tuesday, Nov. 4, at 7:00 PM.
