Luz Ruiz, Serena Escobar and Celeste De La Rosa represented the Sul Ross State women's soccer team on the Lone Star Conference's Preseason Players to Watch list.

Ruiz, a junior forward, is from Santa Cruz, Calif. and a transfer out of Cabrillo College.

Escobar and De La Rosa are both returners.

A senior defender, Escobar appeared in 13 matches while making 11 starts for the Lobos back in 2022 while senior goalkeeper De La Rosa appeared in five games last season, making 30 saves.

The Lobos begin the season on the road in Las Vegas, N.M. against New Mexico Highlands on Thursday, Sept. 5 at 2 p.m. CST.

Dallas Baptist, a winner of four-straight LSC championships, is predicted to finish on top with all but one of the 42 possible first-place votes.
