Only four games remain on the schedule for the Sul Ross State football team.
After coming away with their first Lone Star Conference win last weekend during homecoming night against Western New Mexico, the Lobos face a tough challenge with Angelo State on the road.

- Angelo State is 5-2 overall and 5-0 in LSC play.
- Head coach Jeff Girsch is in his sixth season at the helm.
- Since starting the season 0-2, the Rams have been riding a five-game winning streak.
- Last time out, Angelo State defeated Midwestern State, 44-7, on the road.
- The Rams have outscored their opponents 139-14 in their last four games.
- Angelo State boasts the best defense in the conference, which has allowed 10.3 points a game.
- Junior quarterback Braeden Fuller has 1,167 yards passing with nine touchdowns.
- Fuller had a season-high 332 yards passing with four touchdowns in a 33-18 win over Texas A&M-Kingsville on Oct. 12.
- Fuller leads the Angelo State rushing attack with 322 yards on 70 carries with six touchdowns.
- Fuller's 1,494 total yards of offense rank second in the LSC.
- Redshirt junior wide receiver Kel Williams leads the receiving corps with 283 yards and three touchdowns.
- Senior linebacker Kenton Allen ranks first on the team with 63 total tackles. Allen is also the fourth-best tackler in the LSC.
>> THE LOBOS:
- Andrew Martinez remains the second-best quarterback in the LSC with 1,343 yards passing and 12 touchdowns. He is 27 yards behind conference leader Dylan Graham out of UT Permian Basin.
- With 1,492 total yards of offense, Martinez ranks third in the LSC in total offense.
- Austin Ogunmakin is now the LSC's top receiver, leading the way with 574 yards on 27 catches with two touchdowns.
- Quincy Blair's 70 total tackles rank second in the LSC. He is 10 tackles behind the leader Cole Lalama from Western New Mexico.
- Blair has 246 career tackles. He is just 33 tackles away from tying the career-high school record of 279 tackles set by Ronin Williams in 2022.
- Blair's 70-yard interception return for a touchdown last week is the second-longest pick-six in the LSC.
- Vicente Luevano made history last weekend by becoming SRSU's all-time leading receiver in touchdowns by scoring his 28th touchdown.
- Luevano surpassed the school record of 27 career touchdowns set by A.C. Hood from 1997-2000.
- Luevano also owns the school record for receiving touchdowns in a single-season with 12 which he accomplished in 2022.
- Luevano now has 2,228 career receiving yards. He is 903 yards away from tying the program record of 3,131 yards set by Lee Carothers from 2009-2012.
- Last week's LSC win over Western New Mexico came 49 years after SRSU's last victory in the LSC which was in 1975 when it defeated Tarleton State, 10-7.
