Alpine, Texas - The Sul Ross State University football team (0-10, LSC 0-8) fell 73-7 to Central Washington (9-1, 8-0) Saturday night at Jackson Field in Alpine, Texas.
Sul Ross touchdown came in the second quarter when quarterback Kye Callicoatte connected with Yamil Oaxaca for a 64-yard score, capping a two-play, 75-yard drive that energized the home crowd. The Lobos totaled 237 yards of offense, including 227 through the air, highlighted by Oaxaca's team-high 106 receiving yards on three catches. Sul Ross continued to show resilience and fight, battling until the final whistle under the West Texas lights.
Sul Ross ends the season on the road against the University of Texas Permian Basin on Saturday, November 15, at 7:00 PM in Odessa, Texas.
