>> WHAT THE COACH SAID:
"I felt like my players were ready to play. They played hard, they fought all the way. I'm very proud of all them. Ariana did much better today making shots. Marley's always going to give 100 percent. Morgan plays hard. I'm very proud of the way they fought even though we lost. They trying to buy in with what I'm trying to say." —
Head coach E.J. Lee Smith on her team's effort
"I'm excited. I'm sure our players are too. They're very excited about the upcoming games. The way we played today — we don't have any problems playing against St. Thomas or Schreiner. I'm just hoping that we are capable of playing really well together. It's up to them." —
