Two Sul Ross State football players were named to the D3football.com 2022 All-Region 3 team.
Offensive lineman
Ajani Batts earned third team offense.
Batts had already earned first team all-conference offense honors from the American Southwest Conference.
He helped lead the offense to becoming the fourth-best unit in the conference with 4,034 total yards. Sul Ross also had the second-best passing offense in the conference with 3,003 yards and 25 touchdowns.
Linebacker
Ronin Williams was named second team on defense. Williams led the conference with 130 total tackles and 79 solo tackles.

He was also named first team All-ASC on defense.
Williams also broke the school record for career tackles with 279. He also led all of NCAA Division III in total tackles.
Batts and Williams become the first Lobos to be recognized by D3football.com since 2017.
Former Lobos to be honored include wide receiver Lee Carothers (2012), running back Dominique Carson (2012) defensive tackle Zack Roberson (2016) and tight end Steven Savedra (2017).
