After completing a 2-2-2 regular season, women's soccer turns their attention to the American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament for the fourth time in six seasons.

Season Recap:
The Lobos began the season winning two of their first three. First a 2-1 win over Howard Payne on February 26 before a 1-0 win against Concordia at home on March 5. The lone loss of the sequence was a 3-0 defeat against Mary Hardin-Baylor on March 1.

Sul Ross managed two draws in their last three outings. The first coming on March 8 against Hardin-Simmons, 2-2. The Lobos were later matched with McMurry on March 27 in a game that saw a scoreless draw in double overtime. Hardin-Simmons defeated the Lobos 1-0 on March 20 in Abilene.

The Players:
Senior Britney Berumen led the Lobos in goals scored with three on a team-best 17 shots during the regular season.

Joanna Estrada was right behind Berumen with two goals on 13 shots.

Goalkeeper Alitzel Ybarra finished the regular season with 29 saves, a save percentage of 80.6 and 1.09 goals against per game. She is coming off an ASC Co-West Player of the Week award after saving six shots in a 0-0 double overtime draw with McMurry.

Sul Ross, the #3 seed in the West Division, opens the ASC Quarterfinals on Thursday, April 1 at 7:30 p.m. against #2 seed East Texas Baptist (6-1-1, 4-1-1 ASC) in Marshall.

Their last meeting came in 2019 and saw a 3-2 victory for the Tigers. ETBU owns the all-time series 3-1-1, including a 2-1 record at home.
