Sul Ross managed two draws in their last three outings. The first coming on March 8 against Hardin-Simmons, 2-2. The Lobos were later matched with McMurry on March 27 in a game that saw a scoreless draw in double overtime. Hardin-Simmons defeated the Lobos 1-0 on March 20 in Abilene.
