Video Report: WBB looks to extend win streak to four against U.T.T.

With three straight wins under their belt, the Sul Ross Lady Lobos continue to make strides as they enter Saturday's ASC home contest against the University of Texas at Tyler.

Sul Ross is fresh off an 84-57 conference win over visiting University of the Ozarks Thursday.

In that game, the Lady Lobos shot a red-hot 10-of-19 from outside the arc at 53 percent in the first half.

For the game, Erica Solomon- Powell led Sul Ross shooters with 17 points and was 4-of-5 from three-point range.

Lizette Heredia finished with 15 points while Angalyn Latin tallied 11 points.

Taylor Gass recorded her second consecutive double double in Thursday's victory with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Gass collected a season-best 19 points and 12 boards in a 75-62 win at the University of Dallas New Year's Eve.

With their victory over Ozarks, the Sul Ross women improve to 5-9 overall including a 3-3 mark in the American Southwest Conference. Sully currently sits in third place in the ASC West Division.

Meanwhile, U.T. Tyler sports a 7-6 season record with a 3-3 mark in the Conference East. The Patriots are coming off a 70-48 loss at Howard Payne Thursday. U.T. Tyler currently sits in third place in the ASC Eastern Division.

Howard Payne held UT Tyler to just 25 percent shooting from behind the arc and forced 23 turnovers to lead 24-9 in points off turnovers.

The Lady Jackets used a 24-point second quarter to lead 41-24 at the halftime break. HPU would then hold UTT to just eight, fourth period points to claim the 70-48 victory.
