Famaligi And Patterson Join The Lobos

ALPINE, Texas – Leilani Famaligi (El Paso, Texas) and Madelyn Patterson (Whiteright, Texas) are set to play for the 2026 Sul Ross State University volleyball team.

Famaligi had a solid career at Montwood High School.  She was team captain, three-time All-District and was a two-time All-District first team selection.  Famaligi helped the Rams go 82-52.

Famaligi was a member of the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS), National Honor Society, an officer in DECA and graduated in the top 10% of her class.

Patterson wrapped up a strong career by helping Whitewright High School reach the Class 2A Division I State Semi-Finals.  She was a two-time All-District selection, District 10-2A Offensive Player of the Year, All-Texomaland Offensive Player of the Year, Academic All-District and two-time All-State honorable mention.  Patterson helped the Tigers win four district and bi-area championships, Class 2A Reg 1&2 Regional Semi-Finals (2022-23), Class 2A Division I regional final (2024-25) and go 125-53.
