Lobos Close Out Tournament

LOS LUNAS, New Mexico – The Sul Ross State University softball team (2-3) lost 12-0 to UC Colorado Springs (4-1) on Day 3 of the South Central Regional Crossover. 

Sul Ross State had a runner on in each of the first two innings but were unable to score.  0-0 after three innings, The Mountain Lions scored six runs in the fourth inning to take control.

For Sul Ross State, Junior Larryn Rooks (0-1) gave up five hits, six runs and walked six in 3.1 innings.

For UC Colorado Springs, Autumn Kunze (2-0) threw a three-hitter with four strikeouts.

Sul Ross State stays on the road, Saturday, Feb. 7 playing Our Lady of the Lake.  The doubleheader is scheduled to start at noon.
