Lobos See Greyhounds Race Past

ALPINE, Texas – Senior Chianti Clay, senior Manny Flores and junior Tim Mikhailov scored in double-figures as the Sul Ross State University men's basketball team (0-4 Lone Star Conference, 2-7) lost 96-66 to #24 Eastern New Mexico (4-0 LSC, 11-1), Friday night at the Pete P. Gallego Center.

Eastern New Mexico scored the first 11 points of the game and never looked back.

The Lobos were sizzling behind the arc hitting 45.8%.  This is the highest percentage of the season and the third time in the last four games that SRSU has shot 40% or better.

For Sul Ross State, Clay had 15 points and was 4-of-7 on triples, Mikhailov had 12 points and was 6-of-6 from the line and Flores scored 11 points with three 3-pointers.

For Eastern New Mexico, Mo Austin had 19 points, five assists and three steals.

Sul Ross State remains home, Sunday, Jan.4 taking on #14 West Texas A&M.  The game is scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m.
