Grand Junction, Colorado — Sul Ross State University Women's Basketball (1–3) continued to battle through the Mavericks Thanksgiving Classic, showing grit and individual standout moments in a 92–53 matchup against Colorado Mesa (8-1) on Saturday evening.

The Lobos had multiple bright spots across the roster. Leslie Mojica led the way with 13 points, including two threes and a 5-of-6 mark at the free-throw line, while Victoria Aguayo added 10 points, six rebounds, and two steals to anchor the Lobo effort. Sophiya Bustillos contributed nine points, Ariana Escalante pulled down six rebounds and went a perfect 4-for-4 at the stripe, and freshman Daisy Fernandez provided a strong spark off the bench with eight points and two made threes. Sul Ross also shot an impressive 88.9% from the free-throw line, showing resilience and continued improvement throughout the evening. The experience against strong regional opponents offers valuable growth as the Lobos look ahead to returning home and building momentum into the next phase of their season.
