Lobos Swing Away With Rambelles

ALPINE, Texas – The Sul Ross State University volleyball team (0-5 Lone Star Conference, 2-9) lost 3-0 (25-12, 25-13, 25-15) to Angelo State (RV) (4-1 LSC, 10-6), Tuesday night at the Pete P. Gallego Center. 

In the first set, Sul Ross State and Angelo State slugged it out early.  Senior Sarah Chavez fired the ball down the middle of the court.

That put the Lobos up 4-3.  The Rambelles went on a 7-2 run to effectively end the set.

In the second set, ASU came out of the gates with an 8-2 burst.  SRSU began to chip away.

Sul Ross forced an error to close the gap to 9-6.  A 6-2 run by Angelo State sealed the set.

In the third set, the Lobos and Rambelles went back-and-forth until 11-8, ASU.  Angelo State then scored four straight points to take control.

Sul Ross State hits the road, Friday, Oct. 10, taking on Texas Women's.  The match is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m.
