Lobos See Eagles Slip Away

EDMOND, Okla. – It was 90 minutes of toughness as the Sul Ross State University men's soccer team (2-1-1 Lone Star Conference, 5-3-3) lost 2-0 to Oklahoma Christian (2-3 LSC, 5-5-1), Wednesday night at Eagle Soccer Field. 

The game was a defensive battle the entire way as there were just 13 shots combined.  Oklahoma Christian drew first blood scoring at the 52:58 mark.

With just under 20 minutes to go, Sul Ross State had a shot that just missed.  The Eagles scored an insurance goal with 6:32 left.

Sul Ross State had four shots, one corner kick and were called for seven fouls.

Oklahoma Christian had nine shots with four on goal, five corner kicks and were called for 11 fouls.

Sul Ross State returns home, Saturday, October 18, taking on UT Tyler.  The game is scheduled to start at 12:00 p.m.
