Lobos Keep Rolling Along

ALPINE, Texas –The Sul Ross State University men's soccer team (2-0-1 Lone Star Conference, 5-2-3) has two games this week.

Wednesday, Oct. 15 – 8:00 p.m. – at Oklahoma Christian (1-3 LSC, 4-5-1)
Ethan Nakolo has scored 13 goals with an assist for 27 points.  This is the second meeting with the Eagles winning 3-0 last year.

Saturday, Oct. 18 – 12:00 p.m. – UT Tyler (0-3-1 LSC, 3-6-2)
Luan Rangel leads the team with three goals for six points.  The Patriots lead the series 1-0-1.

LAST WEEK
Sul Ross State pushed the unbeaten streak to eight games going 1-0-1.
The Lobos settled for a 2-2 tie with St. Edward's (Oct. 8) as the Hilltoppers scored with seven seconds.  On. Oct. 11, Isaac Poole picked up his third shutout of the season with a 2-0 victory over Texas A&M International.

LONE STAR CONFERENCE RANKINGS
Benjamin Aviles leads the LSC in saves per game (4.86) and is third in shutouts (3).  Diego Hernandez is second in assists per game (0.50). 

As a team, SRSU is first in goals per game (2.00) and shutouts (6), second in points per game (5.40) and third in assists per game (1.40).

STAYING OFF THE UNBEATEN PATH
The Lobos have pushed their unbeaten streak to eight games (5-0-3), the longest in men's or women's soccer program history.

LOCKING IT DOWN
The Lobos have posted six shutouts this season.  That ties the record they set in 2024.
