GAME 2 PREVIEW: Lobo football travels to Eastern New Mexico this week

Last week during the season opener against West Texas A&M, the Sul Ross State football team had moments of brilliance on defense and offense.

Despite the second-half comeback effort, the Lobos dropped the contest, 42-21.

This week, Sul Ross State travels up to Portales, New Mexico, to take on the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds for a 7 p.m. CST kickoff at Al Whitehead Field at Steve Loy Foundation Stadium.

>> HEAD TO HEAD:

The Lobos hold the upper hand against Greyhounds, leading the all-time series 14-11-1 since the first meeting in 1946.

Last fall the Greyhounds came away with a dominating 51-12 win over the Lobos.

Sul Ross State is seeking its first victory over the Greyhounds since 1970.
