ODESSA, Texas — The Sul Ross State baseball team took on the University of Texas-Permian Basin Falcons for round two on Tuesday afternoon.
The Falcons tallied 26 hits in their 34-2 victory over the Lobos in seven innings at Roden Field.
>> HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Lobos had just four hits.
UTPB dealt its damage by scoring seven runs in the second, eight runs in the fourth and nine runs in the fifth.
Sul Ross State scored in the first and seventh innings.
Xavier Garcia hit an RBI single in the top of the first that brought in
Christian Garibay.
The final run for the Lobos was scored after
Peyten Kennard crossed home plate on an error by the shortstop.

- Kennard finished 2 for 3 with two singles.
- Garcia went 1 for 2 with a single, a walk and an RBI.
