RICHARDSON, Texas — During the series finale Saturday afternoon, the Sul Ross State softball team was held to two hits as the University of Texas at Dallas Comets came away with the series sweep with the 1-0 victory at the UTD Softball Field.
>> HOW IT HAPPENED:
In a game that lasted a quick hour and 21 minutes, a hit wasn't tallied until the bottom of the second when the Comets got the first hit of the game on a single.
The Lobos got their first hit of the contest in the top of the third on a single to left by
Kaitlynn Frakes.
In the bottom half of the third, Addison Caddell hit a sacrifice fly to center to drive in Alexia Mullen for the lone run of the game.
Sul Ross State got its second hit on an infield single to short by
Ciera Avila in the fourth.

- Avila finished 1 for 3 with a stolen base while Frakes was 1 for 2.
- Hannah Clark threw a complete-game six-hitter with one strikeout.
