Moments before the start of the Sul Ross State volleyball team's match against Dallas Baptist, seniors

Brylee Sweeten along with senior student trainer Courtney Cavallin were honored.
The Lobos had a good first set on offense hitting .286, however they suffered a sweep to the No. 22 ranked Patriots on Friday night at the Pete P. Gallego Center.
>> HOW IT HAPPENED:
There were four early lead changes in the opening set until the Patriots used a 5-0 run to take a 12-7 lead.
Sul Ross State cut the deficit to three after a kill from
Anna Kasper.
Going on a 4-2 run, Dallas Baptist revamped its lead back up to five. The Lobos were hanging around, keeping the game within reach after some key kills by
Edie Coleman,
Natalie Hernandez and
Sarah Chavez.
The Patriots used a 3-0 run to close out the set to take a 1-0 advantage.
Dallas Baptist went on an early 5-0 run to start the second set with a 7-2 lead. The Patriots then scored six unanswered points to increase their lead to 10.
Closing out with a 4-0 run, the Patriots won the second set by 14 points.
After three early lead changes to begin the final set, Dallas Baptist scored four answered points to take a 9-5 lead.
The Lobos cut the deficit to two after a kill from
Cassandra Espinoza.
Using another 4-0 run, Dallas Baptist increased its lead to six.
Sul Ross State got to within five points in the middle of the set after another kill from Kasper, but it couldn't keep up with the Patriots' high-powered offense.

- Hernandez led the Lobos with eight kills.
- Espinoza added to the offense with five kills.
- Coleman and Chavez each had four kills.
- Sweeten finished with 11 assists, 11 digs and one service ace.
- Colon had 10 digs and two assists.
- Miranda Acosta and Espinoza both finished with eight digs.
- Eliana Mata had eight assists.
