On Tuesday night, the Sul Ross State men's basketball team got a boost of confidence before taking on St. Mary's later in the week.
The Lobos defeated the Navajo Tech Skyhawks, 129-23, at the Pete P. Gallego Center for their first win of the season.
Navajo Tech had only four players on the court while the game was played with a running clock.

Two turnovers by the Skyhawks gave the Lobos a 4-0 lead after two quick layups from
Bryce Harris and
Clay Baldwin.
The Skyhawks got a quick jumper in the paint off a turnover before Sul Ross State went on a 9-0 run to lead by 11 with 15:44 on the clock.
Joshua Kee ended the run with a jumper in the paint.
Sul Ross State got two layups from
Ethan Yancy and then the Skyhawks cut the deficit to 10 with a three by Devaughn Sylvester.
The Lobos scored 25 unanswered points to lead by 36 points with 3:28 to go in the first half.
Navajo Tech finally ended the run with a jumper by Kee.
The Skyhawks scored only 10 points in the second half.
Sul Ross State put together a 25-0 run to lead by 36 points with 3:28 remaining.
