On the final day of the Far West Texas Showdown, the Black Hills State Yellow Jackets defeated the Sul Ross State men's basketball team, 82-60, on Sunday night at the Pete P. Gallego Center.
>> HOW IT HAPPENED:
Black Hills State scored 11 unanswered points to start the contest until the Lobos got their first bucket from
Bryce Harris with 15:25 on the clock.
The Yellow Jackets led by 15 points with 10:15 to go.
Sul Ross State struggled in the first half shooting 5 for 36 from the field.
Black Hills State led by as much as 27 with 18:19 to go in the second half before the Lobos used a 9-0 run to trail by 15.
Ethan Yancy scored five points during the run while Harris made a tip-in layup.
The Yellow Jackets responded with a 7-0 run to extend their lead to 22 with 11:17 on the clock.

- Cam Clardy led the Lobos with 21 points, seven rebounds and four assists. He also shot 6 for 9 from the free throw line.
- Yancy had 14 points and three rebounds.
- Harris grabbed nine rebounds and scored eight points.
- Myles Amason tallied eight points and five rebounds.
- Clay Baldwin had four points, two steals and one board.
- The Lobos shot 15 for 24 from the free throw line.
- Sul Ross State shot 46.8% in the second half while it knocked down four 3-pointers. Yancy had three 3-pointers in the contest.
- Black Hills State won the battle on the boards with 49 rebounds to SRSU's 39.
- The Yellow Jackets also made 11 three-pointers. Cam Lowe and Caelin Hearne each had three.
