After snapping a three-game losing streak with a win over Cameron University on Friday night, the Lobo volleyball team tried to keep the momentum moving forward.
On Saturday afternoon, Sul Ross State ran into the Oklahoma Christian University Eagles at the Pete P. Gallego Center.
The Eagles pulled off the quick sweep of the Lobos, 25-18, 25-18, 25-14.
>> HOW IT HAPPENED:
Oklahoma Christian used a 3-0 run to take a 14-8 lead in the middle of the first set.
The Eagles increased their lead to nine points with another 3-0 run that helped them notch the opening set win.
Sul Ross State had to play catch up again in the second set after it trailed 12-5 as Oklahoma Christian put together a 4-0 run.
Oklahoma Christian began to show its dominance by going on a 7-0 run to make the score 20-7.
The Lobos managed to go on a 5-0 run, but it wasn't enough to pull off the comeback as the Eagles took the second set.
Oklahoma Christian started the third set with a 7-0 run. It later used a 5-0 run to increase its lead to nine points.
The Eagles led 20-9 late in the set before the Lobos got a kill from
Anna Kasper and a service ace from
Eliana Mata.
