>> POSTGAME INTERVIEWS:
"It feels good to get a win again at home. We were kind of in a little bit of a funk right there, but we watched some film and went back to our basic principles because we got a little stagnant and everything like that. We worked more on playing off the ball and using each other to get open again. The ball found the open player, our guys played hard and executed. We had some good halftime adjustments and we were able to make that run. The biggest game on the schedule is always the next one. So, it's UMHB. That one means a lot to not just myself but a lot of players on this team and a lot of the coaches on this team. Big week of practice in front of us and one last showdown with UMHB." —
Head coach Xavier Webb
"We feel like we owed these guys. We feel great. Trey's back out there with us. He looked great today. Cailean looked great today. We had a lot of dudes on the stat sheet, so that's why we came out on top. We knew they could score and the only way we were going to beat them is if we get stops. We locked in on defense and really turned things over. I've been in a drought these last couple games after a hot start. I was just trying this week to lock in a little more, get some more shots up here and there and just get back to what we were doing." —
Gabe Sanchez
"We just want to make sure we protect the Gallego, just get back in the win column. It feels good. Hopefully we can keep this train going. Everybody wants to win at the same time. When you have that, it's tough to beat a team like that. We want to finish strong and try to win out. It's not going to be easy at all. We got to practice, prepare and keep praying." —
Trey Nelson
