MEN'S SOCCER: Lobos come up short against Tornados at home

It was just 22 days ago when the Sul Ross State men's soccer team played a competitive match at home against Schreiner University.

After a five-game road trip, the Lobos returned home.

On Thursday afternoon, Sul Ross State played a competitive first half where the score was deadlocked at 0-0.

Unfortunately, the visiting Concordia University (Texas) Tornados notched the equalizer in the second half to win 1-0 at the Lobo Soccer Field.

>> HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Lobo defense made a valiant stand after Concordia made seven shots in the first half.

During the 46th minute on a corner kick, the Tornados broke the ice with a goal from Theo Givens that came off an assist by Christian Barillas.

>> RECORDS: Sul Ross State (1-7-2); Concordia (4-5-1)
