FROM COACH E:
- I'm very proud of this group. They have tremendous leadership and they work hard for each other.
- We talked about what it would be like to play in a conference or NCAA tournament on the road over the weekend in a back-to-back. It's hard to replicate that but we approached our trip that way.
- It was evident as the weekend and the second game wore on that we were putting our stamp on the game.
- Before we went to overtime we discussed that if we wanted to dig deep and get the victory we had to make them earn everything and earn it for ourselves.
- It was a great end to the weekend to have two shutouts. We had two great performances by the goalkeeper doing what needed to be done, and the backline was outstanding all weekend.
- We need to get better in front of the goal, but we'll take it and get to work this week to clean that up in preparation for our final non-conference opponent.
Sully moves their season record to 3-0. The Lynx suffer their first loss to move to 3-1.
The Lobos finish their non-conference schedule on Sunday, September 19 in Houston against University of St. Thomas.
