JACKSON, Mississippi - Belhaven used a fury of runs in the first four innings on Saturday to take the series against the Lobos with an 11-4 win in game three.
The Blazers got on the board with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first for a 2-0 lead.
Sully was quick to answer with a three-run shot to left field by
Richard Bailey.
Tye Lindsey and
Jalen Benton came around to score on the home run for a 3-2 advantage.
Belhaven answered with eight runs over the next three innings to take a 10-3 lead to the fifth.
The Lobos brought across their final run of the game in the top of the fifth when
Carsen Thor plated Ashton Leach on a single up the middle for a 10-4 score.
After scoreless sixth and seventh innings for both sides, the Blazers added one in the eighth for an 11-4 lead that also went final.
Lindsey and Bailey each tallied two of the nine hits the Lobos had on the day.
Bailey's three runs batted in tied a game-high.
Sully stands at 5-13 on the season and 2-10 in conference play.
The Lobos now prepare for a three-game series against Mary Hardin-Baylor, starting with a doubleheader on Friday, April 2 in Belton.
