FROM COACH E:
- It was another tough one for the men today. I'm tired of saying that and I'm sure the guys are tired of hearing it. I sound like a broken record by now.
- I don't want the men to be discouraged. It's easy to get down when you go through a rough patch like we are. I'm hurting for them and I know they're hurting. That just means they care and that's a good thing.
- We will get through it. We have a resilient group. They've been through a lot on and off the field.
- These are good teams we are playing and it is a credit to Concordia today. We don't want anyone to give us anything. When we step back and look at the big picture, we are growing as a team, a program, and have really good leadership and quality players and that was evident today.
- We went at them today and got better as the match went on, but a good team made us pay for our mistakes.
- We will rest up, lick our wounds, get better this week and go earn a couple conference wins on the road next weekend. More importantly, we will do it together.
The Lobos fall to 3-5 on the season and are 0-4 in conference. Concordia moves to 6-3-3 and 4-0-2.
Hardin-Simmons next plays host to Sully at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 14 in Abilene.
