FROM COACH E:
- We first have to credit our opponent. They earned it. They play a very contrasting style to ours with the ball on the ground and a lot of passing and moving.
- We started out well and really looked like we had a rhythm and were playing our game. Then they scored on a few corners an we never recovered. We have to get better in that department and we will.
- Unfortunately, as with these conference weekends, we don't have time to feel sorry for ourselves. We have to get ourselves up and ready to go again.
- Despite the setback, the guys found some things that work for us that we have been building towards defensively and in attack, including a great team goal. So we'll stay encouraged about that and try to build on it on Saturday.
Sully drops to 3-6 (0-5 ASC). Hardin-Simmons moves to 5-4-2 (4-0-2 ASC).
The Lobos return to action on Saturday, October 16 against McMurry at 7:30 p.m. in Abilene.
